Our Administrative Insurance Assistant will provide administrative support, research and assistance as directed for the VP fo the Department.

 Tasks and responsibilities

  • ·        Provide administrative assistance (when required) to include correspondence, project coordination and completion, proofing, scanning, online archiving, filing and photocopying 

     

      ·        Assist with preparation of Implementation agendas and take notes as appropriate during meetings

       

      ·        Create comparison spreadsheets for voluntary products

       

      ·        Distribute assigned and process department mail

       

      ·        Prepare Installation Letters for Implementation Meetings

       

      ·        Schedule client appointments

      ·        Maintain Master Implementation Calendar and Task List

       

      ·        Track marketing material requests with client, enrollment company, carriers and internal marketing department

       

      ·        Log and track client marketing materials for open enrollment

       

      ·        Assist in the Installation of new cases

       

      ·        Preparation of  forms and other open enrollment materials

       

      ·        Resolution of claim problems and general assistance with carriers and employees when needed

       

      ·        Interaction with client and carrier to resolve billing, premium, and eligibility problems

       

      ·        Assist with resolution of commission issues (as needed)

       

      ·        Work with Vice President of Voluntary Plans to increase office effectiveness and productivity

       

      ·        Process renewals for various carriers

    Job Qualifications

    • **Two years of Group insurance experience required. **

    • Life and Disability License is preferred. 

    • Must be able to work independently, set priorities and possess the ability to proactively anticipate the needs of the supervising Vice President.  

    •  Demonstrate professional interactions with all levels of employees, clients and vendors. 

    • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral. 

    • Must possess strong planning, time management and interpersonal skills; have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.  

    • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Office, etc
