A fast paced company located in Carson is looking for an entry level Machine Shop Assistant. The Machine Shop Assistant will be responsible for assisting the department supervisor with day-to-day duties.

Duties for the Machine Shop Assistant position will include but not be limited to the following:

•  Assist and/or conduct with preventive maintenance on small machinery including cleaning
• Will be working with Drill press, lathe and grinder machines
• Resolving machine issues and fixing issues as required
• Operating and testing machines
• Fabricating parts
• Utilizing hand tools
• Other duties as assigned

  Pay: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on experience

  Schedule: Monday through Friday, must be flexible to work any consecutive 8hours between 6:00am and 4:30pm with mandatory overtime as needed.

  To be eligible for the Machine Shop Assistant position candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Must have 6 months previous experience operating or working with drill presses, lathes and/or grinders
  • Must have mechanical experience
  • Must have some previous fabrication experience
  • Must be able to pass basic warehouse and math tests
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Welding experience a plus!
