Job Description: Exciting company in the city of Lakewood is looking for a Mail Service Assistant for their Administrative Offices. The selected candidates will assist with general mailroom responsibilities, which may include  mail distribution, sorting incoming mail, collating, filing, inputting documentation into system and copying.  Should have basic proficiency in general desktop PC operation and using MS Outlook.
 
Pay: $10.00 to $10.50 per hour
 
The following schedule is available:
Rotational shift.  Position requires flexible work schedule to include weekends and staggered start times.  Earliest start time is 4:30am and latest end time is 7pm.  Overtime is required.  Most days will run 7 hours plus overtime.  All schedules are subject to change. 

Requirements:

    Must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check. 
    Must have 1-2 years of recent, similar experience. 
    Must be able to lift packages weighting up to 40lbs. 
    Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.

The Machine Operator operates packaging machinery to create a complete and quality package for all tablet products. Essential job functions include:
  
Feeds containers and other materials into a variety of automatic and semi-automatic packaging machinery.  Packages tablets by inserting components into container, capping container and weighing to ensure correct tablet counts.  Monitors the need for supplies and notifies Stockhandler of pending shortages.  Monitors equipment on line to detect malfunctioning of machinery; makes minor adjustments as necessary and informs mechanic when major adjustments/repairs are required.  Inspects all containers and packages for correct codes, counts labels and components and removes defective items from production line.  Maintains production line operation by reporting problems and offering solutions to Line Lead, Packaging Coordinator or Supervisor.  Keeps constantly alert for proper operation of equipment, stopping machines by electrical controls as necessary.  Clears jams in machines and makes minor adjustments when needed to keep packaged units within the required specifications.  Ensures bottles, cartons and master shipping cases are properly labeled by changing codes on video jet and labelers. 



Conducts or assists mechanic with machine set-up during product or lot changes, including cleaning, code change, slat removal/installation, label changes and conveyor rail adjustment. 

 Pay Rate: 

$12-$13 depending on shift

    Establishes a vision and sets the appropriate priorities for the department. Provides leadership for daily direction setting and problem solving in order to maximize results. 
    Manage a department consisting of an assistant supervisor and 30 packaging department associates. 
    Directs and is accountable for optimum departmental safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations, training and cost control in relation to assigned area. 
    Develop Direct Reports via coaching, mentoring, goal setting and performance review processes. This also includes the development of career development plans for packaging associates. 
    Partner with quality to ensure good quality practices, etc., implementation of practices in manufacturing. Assures compliance to regulatory standards (FDA, OSHA, etc.) 
    Lead cost and efficiency improvement efforts with production. 
    Keep abreast of pharmacy industry best practices, market changes, etc. drives manufacturing strategy and ensures is aligned with overall company&#x2019;s strategy and marketing. 
    Responsible for Marketing/Customer Service issues such as product availability, new product development, complaint resolution and operational enhancements driven by customer needs. Champion, review and oversee future department expansion and capacity increasing projects. 
    Drive Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing philosophy and practices. 
    Instill the visual manufacturing techniques to ensure the highest quality products are produced. 
    Lead, coach, and train employees toward team concept. Foster environment for empowered, high-performance department. Identify career development plans for staff and implement. 
    Other duties and tasks as needed or required. 



 
 QUALIFICATIONS: 





    Required  Bachelor&#x2019;s Degree in engineering, pharmacy or science related discipline and a minimum of 5 years direct supervisory/management experience in pharmaceutical or other FDA regulated packaging/manufacturing environments, or equivalent combination of experience education and/or training. 
    Proven leadership and management experience in a World Class manufacturing environment. 
    The successful candidate must have prior in depth knowledge with tableting, blending, and or/packaging operations with success in a highly regulated environment. 
    Prior knowledge and successful safe handling of potent compounds is strongly desired. 
    Analytical and problem solving skills and experience 
    Strong communication skills (speaking and listening) and technical writing. 
    Conflict resolution skills; team building skills; and a desire to develop others through coaching and facilitation. 
    Ability to drive Costs of Goods Sold reduction while continuously improving customer service performance, as well as the ability to lead employees in making changes. 
    The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple projects. 
    Clear communication strategies and tactical plans are required such that a clear and consistent message is presented to our employees. 
    Operating budget system, production standards and production control system knowledge is desired. 
    OPEX (Six Sigma and/or Lean) training / certification is a plus.

Under general supervision, assist credit manager in research and compilation of financial data; prepare month-end accruals; receives payments, prepares bank deposits, reconciles cash receipts and post transactions to GL, resolves payment issues and discrepancies on assigned customer accounts; monitors credit line and maintains credit information of assigned customers; and performs other related work as required. 
 
Essential Functions: 
 
1.      Prepares month-end accruals for Special Pricing and Price Protection claims. 
2.      Receives payments, prepares bank deposits, reconciles cash receipts to appropriate accounts and posts transitions to general ledger on a daily basis. 
3.      Resolves customer inquiries and disputes on pricing variances, chargebacks, sales tax, freight, RMA, shipping discrepancies, special pricing, and price protection. 
4.      Reviews aging report of assigned accounts and contacts customers to arrange payments on a daily basis. 
5.      Issues invoices and credit memos for sales adjustments, marketing expenses, shipping/RMA/freight discrepancies, and sales taxes. 
6.      Maintains, reviews, and resolves all shipping discrepancies in program.  Reviews and understands all shipping terms and shipping liability agreements.  
7.      Files all reimbursement claims and follows up shipping discrepancies with FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc. 

8.      Works with sales and management to monitor credit limits and maintain appropriate working limits.  Place accounts on pending status and informs upper management when credit holds are required. 
9.      Reviews and processes sales and marketing credits and allocates to the appropriate cost centers and product codes. 

  


 
 
 

 
QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES   
Education/Training/Experience: 

Required:  Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting required.  Two (2) years Accounting Experience.
